Absolute Space

This chapter explains the dialectics of absolute space and its subsumption into society. The homogenous and all-embracing nature of pristine absolute space has the social implication of liberty, equality and fraternity. It also has homogenising physical power. This nature of absolute space works negatively and thus functions adversely to a society based on separation and discrimination between different social groups and exertion of power over the subservient groups. A new configuration of space is then produced; those in power attempt to negate the contagious and homogenising nature through bounding or imposing boundaries. Fragmentation and differentiation of absolute space thus ensue.
