The magnetism of minerals refers to the ability of minerals to be attracted or repelled by permanent magnets or electromagnets. Based on the previous literature (such as Chen 2007) and the research work of the authors of this book, the magnetic susceptibility and specific magnetization coefficient of minerals, the magnetic characteristics and magnetic classification of minerals, and the application significance of mineral magnetism are introduced as follows.
