Comparative Analysis of Various Phase Change Materials for Enhancing Refrigeration Efficiency
摘要
This study conducted a comparative analysis of various phase change materials (PCMs) to enhance refrigeration efficiency. PCMs can absorb and release latent heat during phase transitions, making them ideal for stabilizing temperature fluctuations in refrigeration systems. This study explores a strategy to boost refrigeration system efficiency by immersing condenser coils in Phase Change Materials (PCMs) like water, paraffin wax, and ethylene glycol (-5°C), It shows that the maximum achievable COP during the experimental work for the proposed PCM materials are 1.48, 1.70 and 1.30. The aim is to leverage the latent heat storage properties of PCMs to enhance the Coefficient of Performance (COP). This research assesses their impact on COP, focusing on energy efficiency and heat transfer dynamics.
