A Comprehensive Review of Synthetic Polymers and Composites for 3D Bioprinting Applications
摘要
The increasing number of elderly individuals and the emergence of new diseases necessitate the advancement of innovative therapeutic approaches. Among numerous approaches, bioprinting is a cutting-edge technique in biomaterial fabrication based on additive manufacturing and holds immense potential in the fields of medicine and pharmaceuticals. This innovative technology has paved the way for the development of artificial multi-cellular tissues and organs, making it a pioneer in regenerative medicine. Researchers are currently utilizing a diverse range of biomaterials and employing various techniques in 3D bioprinting. This article aims to explore both the commonly used and novel biomaterials in 3D bioprinting via FFF technique. The primary objective of this review paper is to highlight the strengths and limitations of existing biomaterials and 3D bioprinting techniques, facilitating a comprehensive comparison between them.
