Precision Smoke Detection System with Counter Propagation Neural Network and Electronic Olfactory

The Electronic Nose, a compact electro-mechanical device, exhibits the capability to discern an extensive array of odors, encompassing substances such as food, human breath, and hazardous toxins. In this study, the Electronic Nose is employed to classify aromas emanating from three distinct burning materials: joss stick, mosquito coil, and instant benzoin. Utilizing the counter propagation neural network, the Electronic Nose is trained and deployed for the classification of these burning odors. The primary objective of this project is the development of an intelligent smoke detector, ensuring the precise identification of harmful burning materials. This proactive approach aims to detect potential fire hazards promptly, preventing untoward incidents effectively.
