In the field of Metabolomics, a progressive and demanding domain, the goal is to quantify the relatively small molecules found in biological materials using a variety of techniques, such as focused analysis and thorough profiling. This chapter explores the application of microfluidics within the field of metabolomics. By utilizing unique properties of matter, microfluidic technologies have made it possible to build compact systems that can manipulate and analyze life forms with outstanding accuracy, which has resulted in the discovery of new biological understandings. The possible applications of microfluidic devices expand further by the availability of fabrication techniques, which enable customization to address particular biological difficulties. The identification or synthesis of metabolites is made possible by precise microfluidic techniques, which are highlighted in this chapter along with the prospect that microfluidics combined with advanced imaging, sensors, and engineering will make biology a more precise and advanced science.
