Applications of Nano-bioinformatics in Livestock Research
摘要
Nano-bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary field that combines the principles of nanotechnology and bioinformatics. Its goal is to develop new technologies and approaches for understanding biological systems, with a focus on improving the health and well-being of livestock. This field can play a critical role in the development of nanodiagnostics, nanotherapeutics, and genetic analysis tools. In turn, these tools can be used to enhance animal health, increase productivity, and reduce the environmental impact of livestock agriculture. For example, computational approaches can be used to identify key disease-causing components in animals, and nanoparticle (NP)-based drugs can be deployed for targeted action. Moreover, analysis of the cytotoxicity of various NP-based drug delivery agents can be conducted with reduced time and resources. Nano-bioinformatics also contributes to the advancement of precision medicine and personalized healthcare. Through the integration of biological and technological expertise, nano-bioinformatics is poised to make a significant impact in the field of veterinary sciences in the coming years. Therefore, this chapter tries to highlight the potential implications of the emerging field of nano-bioinformatics, particularly in livestock healthcare research.
