Resilience Process

  • Chau Kiu Cheung

摘要

This Chapter recites the resilience process connecting exposure, belief, action, and feeling regarding resilience. Resilience exposure conveys the integration function of social norms or demand. Resilience belief embodies the latency function to define ideals. Resilience action, comprising learning and handling, represents the adaptation function to tackle adversity to acquire utility. Resilience feeling constitutes the fulfillment function to set goals and power. These resilience factors were distinguishable from adjustment, aid received, and sincerity experienced. The factors maintained positive correlations among themselves and with adjustment, aid received, and sincerity experienced, and inverse correlations with adversity experienced. More specifically, resilience feeling depended on resilience action, which in turn depended on resilience belief.
