The simulation work presented in this work deals with the generation of acoustic effects with various available software tools. Generally, Audacity software is used for generation of different sound events such as simple tone, chirp, pink noise, white noise, etc. This software can be further utilized for performing acoustic related experiments on human. In this work, software-based test rig is created for performing listening test for analysis of the sound perception by various subjects. This listening test aims to rate the quality of a set of signals produced by source separation systems. This work helped in analysing that how perception of sound is affected. Software based test rig is created for performing listening test for analysis of the sound perception by various subjects. The purpose of this listening evaluation is to assess the level of a collection of signals generated by source separation systems. Source separation seeks to isolate a target source’s signal from a mashup of many sound sources. When contrasted to the pure target source, the generated signals may exhibit a variety of degradations, such as target source distortions, residual noises from other sources, and extra artificial noise.
