Improvement in Load Frequency Control of Nonlinear Power System with IDDF Controller
摘要
In this paper, an integral-double derivative plus filter (IDDF) optimized with the crow search technique (CST) is enforced as a secondary controller for load frequency control (LFC) of two areas of the traditional nonlinear power system (TATNLPS). Investigation on TATNLPS is began with 10% step load disturbance (SLD) on area-1. However, the TATNLPS is considered with the practical constraint of communication time delays (CTDs) to conduct research towards the realistic practice. Later, to improve the LFC performance an additional mechanism of capacitive energy storage (CES) and unified power flow control (UPFC) is adopted. Simulation analysis reported the TATNLPS performance improvement by integrating the CES-UPFC control mechanism.
