Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) emerges as a promising material for advanced energy storage devices, particularly batteries and supercapacitors. As the demand for efficient and sustainable energy storage solutions grows, MoS2 attracts considerable attention due to its unique properties such as high electrical conductivity, substantial surface area, and impressive electrochemical stability. This chapter offers a comprehensive overview of MoS2, covering synthesis methods, structural modifications, and heterostructures aimed at improving energy storage performance.
