Over the years in order to achieve the desired applications at the nanoscale level, alteration in shape and structure of materials has been exercised in order to gain significant development in their evolution. For over a decade, carbon nanotubes have been seen as the promising material for applications in electronic as well as optoelectronic devices. Although, lately the scope of the use of carbon nanotubes has declined due to several reasons.
