Humidity Data Acquisition and Regulation for Optimal Environmental Condition

摘要

Humidity is determined by the amount of moisture present in the air. Controlling humidity is essential for human comfort, health, the preservation of materials, building integrity, and the efficiency of electronics and machinery by preventing mold growth and material degradation. This research proposes an automatic humidity regulation system based on IoT technoloy. The NodeMCU ESP8266 SOC microchip is used, which provides integrated Wi-Fi functionality. It is connected with sensors and actuators to acquire and control the humidity of an environment. The system is implemented in an airtight container, inside which humidity is regulated. The Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol is used to exchange data between the system and user through Wi-Fi to enable remote regulation of humidity. The comparison of humidity inside and outside the container shows the efficiency of the system. Also, a friendly user interface is provided for ease of use.
