Males lions have solitary lives. There are over 600 lions in the Gir forest, India. Today, worldwide lions are facing several threats like habitat loss, climate change and human interference. One of the main risks lion populations are facing today is inbreeding due to restricted areas. Conservation measures have contributed to the increase in lion population in Asia and Africa.
