A Detailed Review of the Combustion, Emission and Performance Properties of C I Engine Using Nanoparticle Additives on Biodiesel and Diesel-Blended Fuel

The worldwide growing demand for fuel/energy vis a vis sensitization towards the usage of greener and cleaner fuel for sustainability issues, has compelled the scientific community to search for alternatives to traditional fuels like fossil fuels. The world has become wiser leading to exploring new avenues be it solar energy, wind energy, nuclear energy, hydrogen-based energy, diesel blended fuel, or biodiesel/diesel blended fuel with nanoparticles as additives and there is likely to be a paradigm shift in the type fuels to be used in near future. An attempt has been made to comprehensively review the latest research works already carried out in the domain of the effect of nanoparticle additives with biodiesel and diesel blended fuels on CI engines concerning combustion and emission characteristics so that it will go a long way in helping further research in this domain.
