Nanoimaging in Cardiology

Nanotechnology, due to technological advancements, has now become an important part of life, especially in healthcare, where diagnosis and therapy are integral applications. One significant application is in cardiology and interventions, particularly in the evaluation of plaques. It is also important for various theranostic applications, such as the use of stem cells in assessing the myocardium. Cardiovascular nanoimaging applications are used for diagnosis, real-time tracking during therapy, and surgery. This chapter provides an overview of the various applications in cardiovascular diseases, along with potential future applications.
