Radionuclide Nanoimaging

Nanomaterials can be used as a multifunctional imaging component where diagnostics and theranostics are combined, and these applications are still in the preclinical stage. Radio-nanomedicine is now an important discipline where radiotracers are used for radiation therapy. This chapter will discuss how radio-nanomedicine can enable the clinical translation of nanomaterial theranostics. These advances, as well as future challenges, are reviewed in this article. The radiolabeling of radio-nanomaterials, their in vivo behavior, and their possible uses are discussed in this chapter.
