Small-Molecule Compounds
摘要
Small-molecule compounds provide a range of pharmacokinetic advantages over therapeutic antibodies, including oral administration convenience, improved tissue penetration, optimal half-lives, and the ability to cross cell membranes to interact with intracellular targets. Furthermore, they are generally less expensive to produce, contributing to their widespread adoption in clinical environments. This chapter presents the research and development processes, clinical applications, and potential side effects of small-molecule compounds, focusing on those that are currently available or under development.
