摘要

In this chapter, we explored how postharvest management technologies can help improve food security by reducing losses and waste globally. Specifically, we focused on the development of postharvest analytical technology for horticultural crops, which can greatly enhance progress in the agriculture sector. The use of this technology is essential for ensuring the safety and quality of these crops after they have been harvested. By collaborating with both academic institutions and industry partners, we can reap several benefits. Companies in the industry possess valuable knowledge, market insights, and expertise in crop management and processing, while academic institutions offer scientific expertise, research capabilities, and innovative solutions. Together, these partnerships achieved by any country’s economy can help drive progress in the agriculture sector and improve food security for all.
