Biogenic Synthesis and Characterization of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles

The primary focus of research in nanotechnology is the production of nanomaterials that can have their size and shape precisely controlled. Because of its low impact on the environment, biosynthesis of metallic nanoparticles has experienced a recent surge in popularity. The manufacture of nanoparticles through the use of natural plant extracts is an improvement over the use of chemical and physical processes. This is because the use of natural plant extracts is both cost-effective and environmentally beneficial. Zinc nanoparticles have been successfully created in this study by employing a method that is both straightforward and environmentally friendly. The extract of the leaf of the Ocimum Sanctum plant was used as both a reducer and a stabilizer. A particle size analyzer was used to assess the size and form of the generated nanoparticles, and a scanning electron microscope (SEM) was also used in conjunction with EDS techniques to characterize the elemental analysis and composition of the nanoparticles. The findings of the experiments showed that zinc nanoparticles with a Z-average diameter of 144 nm, which appears to be spherical and higher level of stability.
