Preparation and Structural Characterization of Crosslinked Polyvinyl Alcohol Membranes
摘要
PVA was crosslinked with glyoxal (GLY), and the physico-chemical changes in the structure were investigated as a function of the crosslinker content. The membranes were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), to find out the crystalline changes occurring in membranes. The swelling as well as the gel content of membranes were also evaluated. Swelling diminished to ~ 100% for 4% GLY crosslinking from 320% for the pristine PVA membrane.
