摘要

Latin American countries have begun to implement various policy measures aimed at improving the region’s economic situation. Poverty, unemployment and economic and social disparities are just some of the ways in which the Covid-19 problem has affected the region. The decline in GDP in the LA area can be directly attributed to the region’s difficult economic climate in the Covid-19 era. All facets of the economy have suffered. All facets of the economy have suffered as a result of the blockade processes; international trade and travel have been particularly affected. In order to analyze the post-Covid economic transition in Latin America, the IDB household survey was used; the IDB’s target population consists of households in urban and rural areas of Latin American countries. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) considers micro, medium and small industries in LAC countries to be the most susceptible to the pandemic problem. The pandemic has contributed to the elimination of 8.5 million jobs and affected 2.7 million businesses in Latin America. Policy makers and governments in many Latin American countries responded quickly and effectively, protecting their citizens from the worst effects of poverty. After a severe recession, the region’s GDP is seen to recover to pre-crisis levels after new policies are framed and implemented across industries.
