“We, the Arabs, have to rethink our strategy in order to make sure that the Red Sea would be under full Arab sovereignty. The integrity of the Red Sea was always the goal of Egypt in any period she was powerful, from the days of the mighty Pharaohs to the United Arab Republic of Gamal Abd al-Nasser. The Red Sea is an Arab Sea because all the states around it are Arab”.
