Review on Advancing Imaging Technology and Automation for Diagnosis and Treatment of Amblyopia (The Lazy Eye)
摘要
Amblyopia is a disorder of vision that typically develops in early childhood and is associated with neural disease, where the intellect that exists in our brain is unable to receive the right amount of signals from the suppressed eye. Such a condition is commonly known as lazy eye. Around two to five percent of the global population is affected by this disorder. Automated machines are usually used in medical systems for the timely cure of different health issues. The main motive of the given article is to learn and understand previous methods and different new advanced technologies used in ophthalmological issues mainly amblyopia. Many researchers have come up with unique automated solutions like AVVDA, decision tree learning, random forests, artificial neural networks, and video gaming. Each of these automated techniques has its own level of accuracy in the diagnosis and treatment of lazy eye. Within this study, we are going to discuss how each of these techniques is used for the early detection of amblyopia in a person and the concept behind its treatment. We also intend to analyze certain changes that can be made in these techniques for better positive outcomes in the upcoming days.
