摘要

As the incorporation of nanotechnology into agricultural practices gathers traction, the application of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) in plant and soil systems emerges as a frontier with enormous promise. In an attempt to clarify the nuances related to AuNPs’ introduction into the delicate balance of plant-soil interactions, this study paper explores the ethical issues surrounding their use in agriculture. The ethical debate centered around three major domains: the environmental impact, human health and safety, and socioeconomic elements. The environmental implications of AuNPs presence in soils encompass an assessment of the potential ecological repercussions on biodiversity, non-target organisms, and the overall ecological well-being. The research also examines the intricate network of human health and safety issues, such as the creation of strong safety measures, consumption of crops treated with nanoparticles, and possible hazards related to exposure to nanoparticles during production process. The socio-economic component also explores questions of affordability, accessibility, and the fair sharing of the advantages and hazards of implementing AuNPs. In spite of the fact that this technology has the potential to be revolutionary, this research supports a reasonable approach that places a strong emphasis on ethical and responsible behaviour.
