Applications

In modern cities, everyone and their surrounding equipment have become "producers" of spatio-temporal data, for example, the trajectory recorded by running software and the trajectory of a taxi. These trajectory data are of great significance for detecting the pattern of urban life and reflecting the travel patterns of people. In areas such as emergency surveying and mapping, GIS needs to provide accurate and fast digital terrain analysis for emergencies such as natural disasters. The rapid publish of remote sensing images and the analysis of public service accessibility are important applications of geographic information integrated services. This chapter mainly introduces the application of high-performance GIS in the above fields.
