Spatio-temporal data is a concept of utmost scientific rigor, denoting the dataset encompassing geographic elements or phenomena associated with location, based on a unified spatial and temporal datum. It possesses the fundamental characteristics of spatial dimension (S), attribute dimension (D), and temporal dimension (T). Spatio-temporal big data, on the other hand, represents the fusion of big data and spatio-temporal data. The main management techniques of spatio-temporal big data include high-performance organizational models, spatio-temporal indexes, polymorphic storage, and parallel access methods.
