General Modeling of Converter in Power Electronic Distribution System

The degree of power electronization of the new distribution system is increasing, and the difficulty of electromagnetic transient simulation is also increasing. Hence, this study proposes a general electromagnetic transient modeling method for inverters. Firstly, a physical equivalent model of the insulated gate bipolar transistor used in classical single-phase bridge inverters is established, and its mathematical model is derived. Then, an electromagnetic transient simulation interpolation algorithm considering multiple switch actions and reinitialization is proposed to eliminate errors in the simulation process of equivalent simple models. The simulation characteristics of the proposed equivalent model are basically consistent with the ideal model, and have higher simulation efficiency. Additionally, the proposed interpolation algorithm achieves a balance between simulation calculation accuracy and efficiency.
