DG Hosting Capacity Analysis Based on Affine Voltage Sensitivity

The high penetration of distributed generations (DGs) in the distribution network (DN) will cause many operational problems. The effective hosting and assumption of DGs are faced with greater challenges, which is becoming one of the research hotpots at present. Hence, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive analysis for DG hosting capacity (DGHC) under uncertain environment. To this end, this paper applies the interval and affine arithmetic to quantify uncertainties, and derives the affine three-phase voltage sensitivity equation based on the nodal admittance matrix. Then, an affine voltage sensitivity based DGHC analysis method is proposed. Finally, the IEEE 33-bus test feeder is used to verify the effectiveness of proposed method in improving both computation accuracy and efficiency simultaneously.
