The rising temperatures, particularly during grain development stages, further exacerbate these challenges, impacting crop quality and yield. Additionally, climate change exacerbates water scarcity, directly affecting agricultural production. The resulting instability in the food supply has led to increased food price volatility, making food less accessible for vulnerable populations and potentially compromising their nutritional status. Elevated CO2 levels also decrease the nutritional content of crops. To address these challenges, sustainable agricultural practices, climate-resilient crop varieties, improved water management, and enhanced food distribution systems are essential. These strategies emphasize soil health, water conservation, crop diversification, and the development of resilient crop varieties to ensure reliable food production and improve postharvest handling.
