Aridity: The accepted definition of aridity is a continuous shortage of water resulting from the receipt and expenditure or supply and demand of water. International Aridity Definition Indicator—Aridity Index: The aridity index uses the ratio of the average rainfall to the maximum possible evaporation for a given period to study the division of dry and wet climate.
