Comparative Analysis and Research on Fire Distribution Design of Nuclear Power Plants and Civil Buildings

This paper discusses the differences in fire distribution design program between the nuclear island in nuclear power plant and civil buildings. Firstly, it explains the essential differences between the two from a fire prevention perspective and further compares them based on standard system, grading system, and fire distribution reliability. The analysis results show that both meet the requirements for fire distribution reliability. Due to the continuous improvement of design quality, it has been decided to implement the strict requirements of the civil engineering construction code for fire distribution design in the nuclear island. This text discusses proposed solutions for the difficulties encountered in the design of fire emergency lighting and evacuation signs. Finally, this paper introduces the idea of using a digital electrical platform to build a plant-wide electrical data information base, which can be applied to the safety analysis of fire probability in nuclear power plants and can assist in the design of fire-fighting power distribution.
