Simulation Analysis and Application Research on Irregular Pipeline Flow Measurement of Nuclear Power Plant

For the pipe flow measurement with a certain straight pipe section, the most used standard throttling device and differential pressure transmitter with the flow measurement. However, for some special devices or occasions, which do not have a regular round pipe, while the measurement of the straight pipe section is also very short, at this time for such irregular pipe, it is necessary to use other measurement methods. Based on the irregular piping information of a special device, the design of the homogeneous tube insertion flowmeter structure was carried out, and the feasibility and reliability of the designed flowmeter for flow measurement in irregular piping was verified through static pressure, dynamic pressure and flow field simulation and calibration as well as actual engineering testing, calibration and polynomial algorithm correction, which provides a technical solution for irregular flow measurement in special devices at industrial sites.
