Discussion on Aging Management and Condition Monitoring of Transmitters in Nuclear Power Plants

Pressure transmitters and temperature transmitters are important instrument control equipment in nuclear power plant. The aging of the transmitters may affect the normal operation of the power plant and cause security risks. This paper analyzes the influence factors and consequences of aging of pressure and temperature transmitters. In this paper, noise analysis method, loop current step response method and time domain reflectometry method are introduced to monitor the accuracy and response time of transmitters. This paper analyzes the aging management method of transmitter in nuclear power plant and provides a guidance for prolonging the lifespan of instrumentation and control equipment in future nuclear power plants.
