Study on Reliability Improvement for Engineered Safety Features Actuation of the Nuclear Safety-Class DCS
摘要
Nuclear safety-class DCS is at the center of safety control in a nuclear power plant, responsible for the acquisition and processing of all safety related signals, reactor shutdown and triggering of actuation signals for engineered safety features. It has always been a hot research area to pursue higher reliability of such DCS. Through the study of the architecture, means of signal transmission and logic-signal processing of nuclear safety-class DCS, this paper proposes the integration of actuation signals for engineered safety features, optimizing single actuation signals for individual engineered safety feature equipment into N/M logic signals. Such a design reduces the number of actuation-purpose cables for engineered safety features without changing the nuclear safety-class DCS architecture, and significantly improves the reliability of the equipment by changing only the logic processing of actuation signals.
