A BiMo2O6/CNT Cathode for High-Performance Aqueous Zinc-Ion Battery
摘要
Among many battery systems, aqueous zinc ion batteries have shown great development potential in large-scale energy storage applications. However, due to the large radius of zinc ions, it is difficult for zinc ions to be embedded into the cathode material, which leads to fewer types of host materials suitable for Zn2+ storage. Therefore, the study of suitable cathode materials is an important part of the practical application of water-based zinc ion batteries. In this paper, a functional cathode composed of CNT and BiMo2O6 was designed, and BiMo2O6 was successfully loaded on CNT. The results show that the addition of CNT effectively reduces the accumulation of BiMo2O6 structure. The composite material has fast ion migration kinetics and low Zn2+ diffusion barrier. The cathode has excellent electrochemical performance with a discharge specific capacity of 350 mAh g−1 at 0.1 A g−1. Thus, a new type of zinc ion cathode material has been developed.
