Analysis of Noise Reduction Effect of Particle Damping Materials Used in Distribution Rooms

The noise of electric equipment can have an impact on the lives of neighboring residents. Especially in the power distribution rooms built in residential areas, the audible noise generated by the vibration of the power equipment during the operation will inevitably affect the residents living nearby. The particle damping shock absorber uses the collision friction between particles or between particles and containers to consume vibration energy, which has good vibration control effect. Application to equipment in distribution room or base of distribution room has good effect on reducing vibration noise. This paper analyzes the improvement effect of shock absorber developed by particle damping material on reducing the overall noise of power distribution room, and compares the improvement effect of different materials and particle size on vibration reduction. In addition, the improvement effect of the overall noise of the power distribution room is analyzed, and finally, the suggestion of reducing the noise of the power distribution room is proposed.
