Novel Immunotherapeutic Approaches for Cancer Therapy

Immunotherapy modified the treatment landscape for varieties of cancer; nevertheless, all patients should not be treated with similar kinds of immunotherapeutic agents. The side effects of reported immunotherapeutic agents lead to the discovery and development of novel immunotherapeutic approaches. It comprises immune checkpoint inhibitors, adoptive cell therapies, monoclonal antibodies, immune system modulators, cancer vaccines, cytokines, etc. Novel approaches help to modulate the immune response in cancer patients which led to breakthroughs in oncology treatment. In this chapter, we try to encompass the recent advances in all these immunotherapeutic agents as well as the future perspective on the development of novel approaches of immunotherapy.
