Advantages of 2D Boron Nanosheets Over Other 2D Nanomaterials
摘要
Two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials, including graphene (Gr), have attracted significant interest for a variety of applications, such as biomedicine, energy harvesting/storage, sensing, and catalysis. The high mechanical stiffness, excellent electrical conductivity, optical transparency, and biocompatibility have led to their rapid advances. In addition to Gr, other 2D nanomaterials, such as boron (B) and their derivatives, including 2D-boron nanosheets (2D-BNSs), have shown better physical, electrical, and mechanical properties with high in-plane stiffness, strength, and flexibility. This chapter focuses on the physical, electrical, optical, and mechanical properties, the structural advantages of 2D boron nanosheets, and their derivatives compared to other 2D materials.
