Closed-circuit television, or CCTV, is recognized as a crucial element in security infrastructure; however, its effectiveness faces challenges due to increasing storage demands. The synthesis evaluates a range of research findings to identify optimal solutions for storage challenges. Presenting a method grounded in Mean Squared Error (MSE) analysis, which adeptly removes redundant frames, leading to a notable reduction in video length and a significant decrease in file size, with the potential for more substantial gains. A comparative analysis against alternative frame curation techniques validates the efficacy of the algorithm. The study introduces a methodology to select the most suitable algorithm based on specific video input characteristics, enhancing adaptability. Additionally, it sets the stage for future advancements by initiating an exploration into video interpolation methods.
