An Experimental Investigation to Estimate Performance of Various Photovoltaic Modules Subjected to Different Wavelength Light and Partial Shading
摘要
Partial shading and wavelength of light has great effects on conversion efficiency of the photovoltaic (PV) panels. The proposed work aims at an experimental investigation to verify performance of different types of PV panels such as mono-crystalline and polycrystalline with glass or epoxy surface cover. Performance of PV panel is verified by calculating the conversion efficiency of PV panels with color filters and partial shading condition. The proposed experimental investigation is performed with the help of a xenon lamp-based solar sun simulator in an indoor arrangement. The performance verification is supported by different case studies with help of characteristics curve and bar graph representation. The results show that the efficiency of photovoltaic panels is reduced during partial shading as well as with color filters. Maximum amount of power from PV panels is extracted when it is subjected to white light.
