摘要

This research paper includes analytical hierarchical approaches to provide a smart assessment technique for measuring and enabling a power distribution system’s (PDS) resilience. Concerns about resilience to high impact and low probability are developing, for example, in response to the effects of extreme weather on vital infrastructure across the globe. However, there is currently no established technique or set of indicators to measure resilience with respect to operational and infrastructure integrity, as well as in the context of electrical systems. The ability to measure resilience has several advantages for distribution system planning engineers and operators, including the ability to compare various reconfiguration algorithms, justify control actions, and create proactive control actions to prevent power system outages caused by upcoming extreme weather conditions or other unfavorable events. With regard to metrics, categorization, evaluation, and resilience-enabling strategies, the goal of this paper is to provide a thorough overview of distribution system resilience. It also discusses some possible ways to get rid of the risks associated with natural catastrophes through the three different events discussed in this paper. A new resilience evaluation technique through the multi-step flow diagram method and the application of renewable energy resources in maintaining resilience in the grid and a research roadmap outlining the future of resilience are presented to help the reader understand the theories and research gaps in the field of distribution systems.
