Comprehensive Review of Switched-Capacitor Multilevel Inverter

摘要

Power inverters with low harmonic distortion and high efficiency are in high demand for a number of industrial applications, such as renewable energy systems, motor drives, and UPS systems. An innovative technology that tackles the constraints of classic multilevel inverters, switched-capacitor Multilevel Inverters (SCMLIs) are thoroughly reviewed and analyzed in this research. To improve waveform quality and attain higher voltage levels, SCMLIs use switched-capacitor networks. With an emphasis on their modular design, scalability, and adaptability in producing multilayer output voltage waveforms, the abstract explores the basic working principles of SCMLIs. Examining the effects on efficiency, power quality, and system performance, the study delves into various topologies and configurations of SCMLIs. The design and control aspects, such as modulation techniques and strategies for capacitor voltage balance, receive special consideration. Additionally, the article delves into the most recent developments in SCMLI research, including the incorporation of cutting-edge semiconductor devices, innovative capacitor technologies, and smart control algorithms. In order to demonstrate the possible advantages and disadvantages of SCMLIs, we compare their performance to that of traditional multilevel inverters.
