Feasibility Study of Distribution Network Modification Considering Performance Improvement and Reliability

This paper deals with the analysis and study of feasibility of construction of new 33/11 kV substation and thereby energy savings, performance improvement and reliability. In today’s life, electricity plays and important role and the electricity became one of the basic needs in human life. The distribution companies (DISCOMS) are taking several new projects to provide the facilities of electricity by setting up new 33/11 kV substations, and also by making new 33 kV lines as well as new 11 kV feeders. While creating a new 33/11 kV substations, it is an essential need to study the technoeconomic feasibility before investment. This paper is based on the analysis and study in East Burdwan District at Paraj for commissioning of new 33/11 kV substation under Burdwan Region in WBSEDCL.
