摘要

In our current reality, the world is forced to constantly adapt in the face of climate change and new internal and external threats emanating from it, so it is imperative to take appropriate measures to sustain existence on the planet and change the wasteful approach to natural resources. According to data from the World Bank, the amount of the world population living in urban areas will reach 66% in 2050, which leads to too many implications not necessarily positive, one of them will be, an urban footprint of urban settlements tripled by the year 2030. Therefore, it is necessary to identify that these threats arise not only because of climate change itself but also due to the lack of concrete actions such as the implementation of circular models to mitigate risk and provide stability to the productive chain and value chains and thus economic stability. This research uses a multilevel qualitative conceptual descriptive analysis for contrasting models regarding circular economies and green swans, with a first level based on concepts related to economic externalities and sustainability, with an emphasis on the so-called green swans, a second level discussing the current disruptive economic effects of this phenomenon, and a third level discussing overall risks and corresponding potential mitigation using an approach focused on circular models. The paper concludes that the inclusion of the concept of regenerative capitalism could contribute to evolving the current capitalist system if it contemplates a holistic vision for a sustainable economy.
