Reverse Logistics: A View from Green Capitalism and Circular Economy in Textile Companies in Mexico.

Introduction: This article aims to show the current state of 4 textile companies in Mexico from a sustainable perspective, analyzing the implementation in their processes of greater environmental impact of practices such as reverse logistics (RL), which so far for the business sector is one of the most important sustainability tools to lead to a circular economy (CE) and thus join the green capitalism. Method: In this research work a first approach is made using a survey that was applied to a sample of 4 companies in Mexico, whose characteristics were delimited to make the instrument valid, then an analysis is carried out using inferential and descriptive statistics, for the validity of the measurement instrument and after that the incorporation of fuzzy analysis using forgotten effects to analyze the results. Results: The results showed that companies in the textile sector by nature incorporate reverse logistics programs and that they have a close relationship with the customer to collaborate in their process, however, an analysis with the fuzzy methodology shows that there is a deficiency not in strategy design but in process. Discussion: It is important to mention that since the textile sector is responsible for the pollution of 20% of the water worldwide, it is a highly monitored sector and is being required to implement sustainable practices, therefore it is not unusual that most transnational companies contemplate circular programs, however the success or failure of such programs depends entirely on the policy and internal practices of the companies, whose deficiency is usually found in the design of the processes.
