摘要

Faced with increased environmental concerns, stakeholder pressures, and environmental awareness, eco-innovation (or green innovation) emerges as an essential mechanism in organizational performance and the acquisition of competitive advantages. This study aims to explore eco-innovation performance in the textile industry, an economic sector that significantly impacts the environment. The research was approached by analyzing the sustainability reports of two Colombian multinationals. The findings indicate that green innovation is represented in the textile industry through ecodesign (product, label, packaging), use of materials, eco-efficiency, clean production, and environmental management. This study argues that adopting green innovation reduces the impact of business practices on the environment in a scenario where there are gradually greater demands from green consumers and government regulations.
