摘要

The value chain of the textile industry in the United States contributes to sustainability in terms of sustainable production processes and consumption trends. The present work includes a geospatial analysis of the triple bottom line of the sustainable value chain textile industry using geospatial analysis techniques, considering a multivariable analysis per region, environmental impacts, economic factors and social responsibility practices, using data from Select USA, an US government program led by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The results show a comprehensive understanding of the contribution of the textile industry to sustainable practices in relation to SDG 12: Consumption and Production, where the states top tier in terms of GHG emissions, such as Texas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee, must be focused in terms of protecting air quality, reducing GHG emissions and establishing thresholds for that matter.
