Calculation and Winding Structure Optimization of Power Transformer Transient Processes Based on Simulation Cloud Platform

Lightning impulse waves are one of the significant reasons for the destruction of substation equipment. Analyzing the overvoltage characteristics of power transformers under the impact of impulse waves is of crucial engineering significance for ensuring the safe operation of transformers. This paper utilizes the digital simulation cloud platform for power transmission and transformation equipment to calculate the wave process of transformers. With safety margin as the assessment target, it calculates the distribution of impulse voltages for different structures, analyzes the influence relationship between the number of coils and turns of windings on voltage distribution and gradient margin. In response to the unsatisfactory gradient margin of the twisted-continuous winding structure in this paper, a twisted-inner shield-continuous structure is proposed to obtain a more reasonable coil structure. Ultimately, the product has passed all routine tests and type tests, proving the reliability of the longitudinal insulation structure and transient process analysis of power transformers based on this platform.
