Characterization Parameters and Detection Technology of Conductor Stranding Structure Defects

In order to address the issue of stranding defects resulting from unstable tension in the wire stranding process of a frame stranding machine, the aluminium strand tension is proposed as a means of characterising wire structure defects. Two distinct real-time monitoring technology schemes for strand stranding are presented, namely single pulley tension sensor detection and hysteresis tension detection. The single pulley tension sensor is positioned at the front of the frame winch, enabling the monitoring of the tension value in real time. The results of the experimental analysis indicate that the precise control of strand tension can be achieved by utilising the tension detection method on the traditional frame winch. The hysteresis tension control enables the real-time feedback of the tension of each reel and the precise setting and fine-tuning of the monofilament tension, thereby ensuring the consistency of the winch tension. Subsequently, a specific hysteresis transformation scheme is proposed for the hj13/12p frame winch. The final results demonstrate that both schemes meet the requisite specifications. Based on the actual situation, the single pulley tension sensor detection is deemed suitable for the requirements of new equipment procurement, whereas the hysteresis tension detection is deemed suitable for the transformation of old equipment.
